Itinerary
ARRIVAL OSAKA
After arrival at Kansai Airport, transfer to hotel. Enjoy free time in Osaka—visit Osaka Castle, Shinsaibashi,Dotonbori, or Kuromon Market.
Osaka - Nara - Kyoto
- Osaka → Nara: 🚗 1 hrs Visit Todaiji Temple, home to the Great Buddha, and stroll through Nara Park to encounter the friendly deer.
- Nara → Kyoto: 🚗 1 hrs Continue to Kyoto to explore Kiyomizu-dera, Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, Yasaka Shrine, and the Gion district.
KYOTO - TAKAYAMA
- Kyoto → Takayama: 🚗 4.5 hrs Takayama is known for its well-preserved Edo-period streets. Visit the Sanmachi Old Streets and Takayama Jinya.
Takayama - Shirakawa-go - Gero
- Takayama → Shirakawa-go: 🚗 50 mins Visit Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage Gassho Village with traditional thatched-roof houses and scenic viewpoints.
- Shirakawa-go → Gero: 🚗 2 hrs Continue to Gero Onsen, one of Japan’s top three hot springs. (Recommended: enjoy the hot spring and local cuisine.)
Gero - Mt fuji
- Gero → Mt. Fuji: 🚗3.5 hrs Recommended sights include Oishi Park, Arakura Sengen Shrine (Pagoda), Oshino Hakkai, or Mt. Fuji 5th Station. 💮Seasonal Option (12 Apr–25 May) Fujishibazakura Festival: A spectacular carpet of pink moss flowers set against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji.
Mt Fuji - Tokyo
- Mt Fuji → Tokyo: 🚗 1.5 hrs Suggested sights include Asakusa Temple, Tokyo Skytree, Shibuya Crossing, Shibuya Sky, or shopping in Ginza.
TOKYO - DEPARTURE
Transfer to Narita or Haneda Airport for your flight. If time permits, enjoy last-minute shopping in Ameyoko or airport malls.
