Enjoy your morning in Ushuaia. Before noon, transfer to the port to embark Seaventure. After the boarding formalities and the mandatory safety drill, the ship sails the Beagle Channel toward open ocean — the expedition begins.

Drake Passage
Two days crossing the Drake Passage prepare you for the continent ahead. The expedition team runs the biosecurity briefing and Zodiac training and hands out your expedition gear. Lectures cover Antarctic ecology, glaciology and Southern Ocean history.

Four immersive days south of 60°S, where islands and continent lie blanketed in ice. The exact route is decided day by day by the captain and expedition leader according to weather, sea ice and wildlife. Landing sites may include Cierva Cove, Petermann Island, Neko Harbour, Brown Station and Port Lockroy.
Zodiac cruising & continental landings
Penguin rookeries, calving glacier fronts, leopard seals and minke whales — two outings on most landing days, two to three hours each.
South Shetland Islands — Great Wall Station
South Shetland Islands
The South Shetland Islands, between 61°S and 63°S, are renowned for massive glaciers, volcanic landforms and rich marine ecosystems — vital habitat for penguins, seals and seabirds, with whales frequently sighted offshore.
China's Great Wall Station
Established in 1985 on King George Island — the beginning of China's Antarctic research programme and a milestone in its participation in international polar science.
Crossing the Drake Passage

On the final days at sea, savour the ocean at its most tranquil — a distant whale blow, or orcas cutting through icy water. Attend the closing lectures and review the expedition photo library as the White Continent settles into memory.

Ushuaia — Disembark ✈ Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires
Disembark in Ushuaia this morning and bid farewell to the expedition team and to Seaventure. Transfer to the airport for the domestic flight back to Buenos Aires, then check in to your hotel.
